In this course, you will identify and learn about the major eras in Texas history beginning with Natural Texas and its People and continuing on to Contemporary Texas. You will learn about the people, events, and issues that have shaped- and continue to shape- the state of Texas.   

Supplies:

  • 3-ringed binder (2inches) with dividers for your Interactive Notebook or a 500 page Notebook
  • Notebook paper (if you are doing the binder)
  • Dividers (if you are doing the binder)
  • Map pencils
  • pens/pencils

Grading:

Daily Work 50% ( assignments & homework)

Formative 50% (tests, quizzes, reserach)

Summative 

Remember that zereos affect your average...some credit is better than no credit.

Late Work:

  • Excused Absences, for each day missed, you have 2 days to make up without penalty.
  • For each day late -10 pts will be deducted up to 3 days (-30pts)
  • Students are responsible for make-up work following an absence.
